Meet Charlie, aka Charles. We first met her when we looked at our house in Timaru to buy. Eventually when we bought the house her owner said she was going to the spca as she wasn’t a very friendly cat and she didn’t really want her anymore. We had never planned to have a cat but thought it would be nice to keep her at her home and see if she became friendly.

We renamed her Charlie and after some time she became a great pet and we love her. She loves laying in the sun, playing with her favourite toy, waking us up at all hours of the morning and chasing the other cats away from her patch.

Although she likes us now, she is still scared of visitors but takes a liking to some of our friends. She is a great cat and we are glad we decided to keep her in her home!
