Kiara belonged to a family of five cats. She was the oldest by a few years so often chose to stick to herself rather than hang out with the other pets. Then, when Kiara was nine years old, her owners decided to move to Australia and couldn’t take the pets with them so they tried to rehome them.

They found homes for all of the pets except for Kiara. Kiara’s owners decided since she was so old, no one would probably want her any way and decided to put her down. My family decided that we simply couldn’t let that happen to such a beautiful, wonderful cat and so we decided that we would adopt her.

I think that adopting Kiara is the best decision my family made, although she doesn’t get on very well with our five other pets, she is very much a people cat and loves nothing better than coming inside on a cold wintery night and snuggling up on your knee.

Kiara is a gorgeous long haired grey cat with a personality that is uniquely hers. Kiara is now nineteen years old and one of my very best friends. I will never be able to understand how anyone could even consider getting Kiara put down.
